National Public Lands Day Events
National Public Lands Day is the largest single-day volunteer effort for America’s public lands. Each year, hundreds of thousands of volunteers come together on the fourth Saturday in September to assist with various projects designed to restore and enhance public parks, forests, waterways
•Join anytime 10am-1pm
Take a riverside native plant walk and learn why removing invasive species is important – then lend a hand!
(All ages, abilities welcome. Tools and gloves provided. Meet at Westfork Trailhead.)
•Attend a Cliff Dwellings Tour at 2pm. Meet at the benches at Cave 1
•Stay out late with Ranger Blake for an Astronomy Talk and Mini Star Party 8pm @ Gila Visitor Center Parking Lot. Info: 575-536-9461
